Solgar® CoQ-10 (Coenzyme Q-10) 60 mg Softgels contains KanekaQ-10®, a patented form of yeast-fermented CoQ-10 that is biologically identical to the CoQ-10 produced by the body.

CoQ-10 exists in two chemical forms: oxidised (ubiquinone) and reduced (ubiquinol). Once oxidised, CoQ-10 (ubiquinone) is used in the body where it is transformed and converted into ubiquinol. Reduced CoQ-10 (ubiquinol) behaves in the same way, converting to ubiquinone when it performs its function in the body.

As we age, our bodies produce less and less CoQ-10. This vitamin-like substance can be found in various foods, but organ meats such as heart, liver and kidney contain particularly high levels. It is also found in beef, soybean oil, sardines, mackerel and peanuts.

Coenzyme Q-10 is produced in our bodies and is involved in energy production. CoQ-10 is found in all cells in the body, but its levels are highest in the heart, skeletal muscle and other tissues with high energy demands.

Ingredients

Coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) (KanekaQ10®) (ubiquinone). Diluent: microcrystalline cellulose; Anti-caking agents: vegetable magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide; Vegetable capsule: hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose.

Directions for use

Solgar® CoQ-10 (Coenzyme Q-10) 60 mg Softgels provides ubiquinone in a daily dose of 1 softgel per day.
