What is cocoa butter?

Cocoa butter, also called julri oil, is the natural edible fat from the cocoa bean, extracted during the chocolate-making process and separated from the cocoa mass by pressing. Cocoa butter has a mild chocolate aroma and flavour.

It contains antioxidants, which help to stimulate the immune system and reduce inflammation processes. It is a source of minerals such as magnesium, copper and manganese, thus promoting iron absorption, bone health and blood sugar control.
